Couples Counselling

There are many, often complex, reasons why couples choose to seek counselling; external issues, trigger points from past experiences or a change in current circumstances are just some of the issues which may contribute to a deterioration in communication and positive regard for each other.

In couples counselling, I aim to provide you with a trusting, caring and non – judgemental environment in which you can share your thoughts and experiences and start to understand and deal with the factors affecting your relationship.

I bring to our relationship my experiences from 35 years working in the public sector, specialising in communication skills developed in facilitating adult training, coaching, mentoring and problem solving.  Combine this with my previous  focus on issues such as conflict resolution and anger management and I am able to provide a pluralistic, bespoke service to the couples I work with, who are caught in negative communication cycles,  always ensuring that we are working at your pace, towards your goals and requirements  of counselling.

Through improving communications, I will support you to give each other the space to be heard so that respect and understanding may develop through a change in behaviour and attitude towards each other, and you achieve clarity in your relationship.
